Mark is the owner and Principal of Hurley Lawyers. Having graduated from the University of Technology, Sydney in 1988, he has been a practicing barrister and solicitor for over 33 years in Vanuatu, Australia and The United Kingdom.
Mark has a comprehensive understanding of the law, with a range of areas of specialisation including, but not limited to: commercial and civil litigation, insurance and employment advice, real estate and business transactions of all kinds, legal counsel for banking requirements, conveyancing and criminal litigation.
Mark originally relocated from Australia to Vanuatu in 1997 where he worked for George Vasaris and Co. until 2003 and again from 2008 to 2017. In 2017 Mark acquired the firm and changed the name to Hurley Lawyers. Mark is a dual citizen of Australia and Vanuatu.
Conor completed a Bachelor of Laws at the University of Technology, Sydney in 2021 and was admitted as a Lawyer to the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 2021.
Prior to joining Hurley Lawyers, Conor worked at the Sydney Office of an International Law Firm with a focus on insurance coverage and litigation matters. Conor’s practice areas in Vanuatu are property and business transactions and commercial litigation. Conor is a dual citizen of Australia and Vanuatu.
Kathryn Hurley is the Practice Manager of Hurley Lawyers and handles the corporate services offered by the firm.
She completed a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Sydney in 1986. During her tenure in Vanuatu Kathryn worked at ANZ Bank and Law Partners where she handled the incorporation of local and international companies, helped clients obtain work permits and residence visas and advised on the regulatory requirements for Vanuatu.
Kathryn joined the firm in 2020 where she has brought her wealth of experience to service clients seeking similar guidance. Kathyrn is a dual citizen of Australia and Vanuatu.
Liam completed a Bachelor of Communication at the University of Technology, Sydney in 2022. He oversees the compliance of the firm and assists with company services and regulatory advice.
Before joining Hurley Lawyers, Liam worked as a sales professional in Sydney. In addition to his role at Hurley Lawyers, Liam is the Sales Director of the local real estate agency Core Property. He is a dual citizen of Australia and Vanuatu.
